Cultural Property Consultants, LLC is a Boston-area firm founded in 2017 by leading cultural heritage experts with decades of global experience.

We offer particular specialization in the Middle East and North Africa, with extensive experience in Syria and northern Iraq. We bring together leading experts in cultural resource management and cultural property protection to provide quality, cost-effective heritage management solutions.

allison e. cuneo

Founder

Allison is an archaeologist specializing in cultural heritage policy and practice.

She holds an MA in Archaeological Heritage Management and a PhD from Boston University is a former post-doctoral fellow at MIT in the Aga Khan Program for Islamic Architecture (AKPIA@MIT). 

She served as the Program Manager for the Mosul University Archaeology Program (MAP), a University Linkage Program (ULP) between Boston University and the College of Archaeology at Mosul University focused on curriculum development, design and implementation of online courses and real-time video conferences, and cultural study programs in the US and in Iraq. She also was the Project Manager for the American Schools of Oriental Research Cultural Heritage Initiatives (ASOR CHI), where she authored over 70 reports documenting the destruction of sites and monuments as a result of the conflict in Syria and Iraq and coordinated with in-country sources to implement mitigation projects and monitoring, reporting, and fact-finding initiatives on the ground.

Since 2005 she has conducted archaeological fieldwork in England (Bronze Age, Iron Age, and Roman era sites), Spain (Talayotic and Islamic era), Greece (Mycenaean), and Israel (Canaanite).

Allison is  a Registered Professional Archaeologist (#17392).
